On 25 April we celebrate World DNA Day – the day science first began to read the alphabet of life.
From the discovery of the structure of DNA to the sequencing of the human genome and the development of genomic medicine, the path science has travelled is a story of courage, curiosity and innovation.
Today, what once seemed impossible is becoming reality: we can understand more deeply who we are, anticipate risks and create treatments tailored to each individual.
At the Research and Development Institute in Genomics (ICDG), we carry this scientific legacy forward through research in human genomics and contributions to the study of the genomic diversity of Romanians – an essential step for the future of health in Romania.
DNA is more than a molecule. It is our past, our present and the key to a future in which medicine becomes personal, precise and profoundly human.
