Genome of Europe
The Genome of Europe (GoE) project aims to create a reference
database of at least 100,000 genomes representative of European citizens. It includes 51 partners from 29 countries and aims to integrate existing genomic datasets and
de novo sequencing to reflect European genetic diversity. GoE will contribute to
the development of personalized medicine services and support the understanding of disease aetiology.
This project promises to improve diagnosis and treatments for various diseases,
with a direct impact on the health of individuals and European health systems.
