Dr. Mircea Crețu Stancu from the Genomics Research and Development Institute (GRDI), with a PhD in Human Genetics at Utrecht University, presented the institute's pilot projects at the International Conference on Pathological Anatomy of the "Victor Babes" Institute, held in Bucharest on November 7-8, 2024, highlighting a significant step in implementing whole genome sequencing at a population scale in Romania.
Through these projects, the GRDI is expanding its infrastructure and capacity to contribute to medical genomics and personalized medicine at both national and international levels.
