On July 14, 2025, a delegation of the Institute for Research-Development in Genomics (ICDG), accompanied by the new researchers selected within the ROGEN project, attended an official meeting with the representatives of the management of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" of Bucharest, at the invitation of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Viorel Jinga.
The purpose of this meeting was to introduce the new members of the research team and facilitate their integration into the academic and scientific community of UMFCD. The discussions took place in an open and constructive framework, in the presence of the Prorector, Prof. Dr. Simona Ruță and Prof. Dr. Florentina Ligia Furtunescu, and focused on the identification of common directions for scientific collaboration, as well as on the development of a synergistic framework between advanced genomics research and higher medical education.
The dialogue highlighted the strategic role of the CGDI in promoting excellence in genomics research in Romania, as well as the importance of strengthening institutional partnerships between academia and R&D centers.
This meeting marked a significant moment in the process of bringing together a new generation of genomics specialists, reconfirming the joint commitment of both institutions to innovation, scientific performance and training of high-level human resources - essential elements for national scientific progress.
