The Romanian Undiagnosed Rare Diseases Group of the Institute for Research-Development in Genomics (ICDG) has successfully concluded one of this year's most relevant initiatives dedicated to progress in applied genomics and personalized medicine. In partnership with the Center for Innovation in Education and Health (CieH) - UMF "Carol Davila", we brought together in Bucharest an international community of experts, clinicians and researchers from the USA, Australia, Italy, the UK, Romania and Australia concerned with how pharmacogenomics can transform the care of patients with complicated diagnostic and therapeutic trajectories.
We would like to thank all those involved in organizing this event, such as Dr. Raluca Nicoli, Dr. Mădălina Antonescu, Prof. Dana Craiu, Prof. Cora Pop, the director Octavian Bucur and the enthusiastic group of students and graduates UMFCD organizers who were the heart of the event! Congratulations to everyone!
What this event brought:
- Current perspectives on the use of genomic data in therapeutic decisions and complex case management.
- Presentations by specialists from the USA, Australia, Europe, highlighting current challenges and innovation directions in the field.
- Open discussion on the growing need to integrate pharmacogenomics into everyday medical practice.
- A fluid hybrid experience that allowed for effective interaction between the participants present and those connected online.
The atmosphere was energetic, solution-oriented and internationally collaborative. The contributions of the guests and the interest of the participants once again confirm the importance of genomics in the evolution of modern models of care.
The CGDI continues its dedication to the development and valorization of genomics research, actively contributing to projects and initiatives that connect science and medical practice.
We thank everyone who participated and supported this initiative.
Together we are building a future where medicine becomes truly personalized.
