
The Fundeni Clinical Institute (ICF), the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD), and the Genomics Research and Development Institute (GRDI) organized, on December 19, 2024, 16:00-18:05, the session "Genomics and Personalized Medicine", as part of the Scientific Days of the Fundeni Clinical Institute. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Ileana Constantinescu, Prof. Dr. Adina Croitoru, Prof. Dr. Simona Dima (on behalf of ICF and UMFCD), and CSI Dr. Octavian Bucur (on behalf of GRDI).
The event brought together experts in the fields of genomics and personalized medicine, who presented the latest research and applications in cancer, bioinformatics, biomarkers, and clonal hematopoiesis.
The session took place at the Fundeni Clinical Institute and was organized in collaboration with the scientific teams of UMFCD and GRDI, strengthening efforts to advance research and practice in the field of genomics.
On behalf of the GRDI, Dr. Mircea Crețu spoke at the event about the activities of the GRDI and the role of bioinformatics in genomics research, highlighting the important applications of this field in advancing fundamental biological understanding, promoting personalized medicine, and understanding evolution and biological diversity.
